CM YS Jagan reviews on Spandana program, directs officials to open sand reaches
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the people in the villages can procure the sand by taking permission at the village secretariats. CM Jagan held a video conference with the authorities on the Spandana program. Speaking on the occasion, he directed the officials to store 3 lakh tonnes of sand per day by the end of June. He ordered officials to open sand reaches across the state.
Similarly, he asked to take steps to ensure that 70 lakh metric tons of sand is available before the rains could take off in upcoming monsoon and said that the sand bookings be done through Village and Ward Secretariat. He directed the collectors and Joint Collectors to supervise the sand bookings.
CM Jagan said that 35 lakh people are listed in for employment guarantee scheme in the last week and now that number has reached 54.5 lakh. In this backdrop, he congratulated the collectors for their relentless work in implementing welfare schemes. However, he directed the officials to increase the number to 60 lakh people by next review meeting.
On the other hand, CM directed the officials to construct 31,000 Anganwadi buildings. He said that they are planning to do a mapping in cities and towns over YSR clinics and ordered officials to focus on the Nadu-Nedu event.
