CM YS Jagan Reddy mourns on the demise of former IAS officer TN Seshan
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy mourn the death of former Chief Election Commissioner TN Seshan (86). In his condolence message, YS Jagan stated that TN Seshan has dedicated his work to the people with utmost honesty and commitment. He said the contribution of TN Sesham to the country is very immense.

In his message, Jagan said Sesham had demonstrated how the power of the Indian Electoral Commission could be used to build a powerful democratic system. The Chief Minister said that the name of TN Seshan will forever be engraved with golden letters in the history of Indian democracy.

IAS officer TN Seshan, who served as Cabinet Secretary, became India's 10th Chief Election Commissioner from December 12, 1990, to December 11, 1996. Seshan brought the electoral reforms in the 1990s. He died of a heart attack in Chennai on Sunday.
