Update: 2019-11-09 02:34 IST

Tirupati: TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu alleged that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had been trying to suppress TDP by all means and behaving like a lunatic.

He said that he never faced this type of harassment in his 40 years of political life and the CM has to face the repercussions for his misdeeds. The problem was same in all the constituencies. "Had I showed this type of vindictive attitude in the last 40 years, none of them would have been there in politics now. But I always tried to keep up my credibility and sincerity," he said.

Addressing the media at the end of his three-day tour to Chittoor district where he held extensive reviews of all 14 constituencies, Naidu said that the Chief Minister was strong in criminal attitude which is evident from various incidents like tying the gates of his residence, intervening in his security matters, flying drones on his residence, etc.,

"The Chief Minister has demolished Praja Vedika and spent more than Rs 15 crore on his own residence. As the media will expose all these things, he wanted to impose restrictions on it which resulted in GO No 2430. This is being exposed by journalists, editors and others at all national level and even Press Council of India has taken up the issue 'suo motu'.

The government even trying to file SC, ST atrocities cases on media people. Jameen Rythu editor in Nellore was attacked by one MLA there. On seeing all these, people are calling it as another Bihar," Naidu criticised.

By carrying forward the legacy of his grandfather YS Raja Reddy, the CM was trying to hit the financial roots of TDP leaders and workers, he alleged and cited the examples of J C Diwakar Reddy, Bhuma Akhila Priya, Chintamaneni Prabhakar, etc., in this context. Through this, he is practising surrender politics which has to be strongly condemned.

Naidu criticised the government's intention to introduce English Medium and said that everyone should come forward to protect our mother tongue. It is not proper to take such decisions without any preparedness, he opined.

He found fault with the appointing A V Ramana Deekshithulu as member of Agama Advisory Committee again. "Earlier, he and Vijayasai Reddy alleged that Pink diamond was missing and it was in my house.

A defamation case was filed on them. There were many allegations on AV Dharma Reddy and he was brought back to TTD," he said . There was a feeling in the entire state that the state has gone back by 20 years in the last six months.
