Civic chief Srikesh B Lathkar administers polio drops to kids

Guntur: Municipal Corporation Commissioner Srikesh B Lathkar urged the parents of the below five years children to administer polio drops to their children to make India polio-free country.

He administered polio drops and inaugurated the Pulse Polio programme at NTR Municipal Corporation Stadium here on Sunday.

Speaking on this occasion, he said that they have taken all the steps to make the programme a grand success.

He further said that this programme will be continued till March 13 and added that the GMC has set up 113 booths to administer the polio drops and 13 mobile booths were arranged.

They have set up polio booths in the railway station and RTC Bus Stand to administer the polio drops to the travelling children.

They targeted to administer polio drops to 78,000 children of below five years of age, he added.
