Civic chief K Sakunthala observes functioning of workers at Ongole

Ongole: Municipal Commissioner K Sakunthala visited several areas here on Tuesday to observe the workers at work. She reviewed their functioning at the field level.

She visited the areas starting from Srinagar Colony, Lambadi Donka, Anjaiah Road, Rangarayudu Cheruvu, Pashupati Temple, Godugupalem, Nellore bus stand, Guntur road, and others and interacted with the municipal workers and locals.

She questioned toilets operators and sanitation workers about the neatness and maintenance, removal of waste and its transport, the supply of drinking water, verified its quality in the presence of the public.

She also asked the sanitation workers to give a demo on the daily collection of waste using the RFID tag and made them drain hand fogged by the workers.

She made few suggestions to the assistant engineer K Srinivasulu about the plantation at dividers and ordered the removal of political hoardings at Guntur road and road beside ABM Degree College.
