Chittoor: MLA Srinivasulu seeks traders support to curb Covid-19

Chittoor: City MLA A Srimivasulu lauded Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for giving permission to about 90 per cent of business establishments to resume their operations in the district. The MLA sought the cooperation of commercial units and also all sections of people to combat the spread of Covid-19.

He said that Koyembedu Vegetable Market, Chennai has turned as the hotspot for Covid-19 and number of corona virus positive cases recorded in Chittoor district were linked to the Koyembedu Market contacts. He stressed that the fruit sellers and vegetable vendors should compulsorily wear face masks and maintain physical distance .

Municipal Commissioner C Obulesh said that permission for the retail and whole sale shops was accorded as per the prescribed guidelines of lockdown -4 . In this regard, it would be sole responsibility of the shop owners to make proper arrangements for the business activities.
