Chief Election Officers directs for action

Nellore: Chief Election Commissioner Gopala Krishna Dwivedi directed the district administration to book criminal cases against the responsible in Atmakur incident.

He said Re-turning Officers of the concerned constituencies are responsible for such negligence. He sup-ported version of the local officials as they were only part of commissioning and still they are punishable for negligent act.

It may be recalled that local government school students found them in the premises on Monday. District Collector asked the Joint Collector-2 Madhusudan Rao for an enquiry on the incident. Local returning officer S China Ramudu condemned them as slips generated on the polling day.
