Chess player gets Rs 10,000 cash award

Vijayawada: Chess player from city Satwika was given prize money by SRR Chess Parents Charitable Trust here on Monday. She participated in National School Games and bagged gold medal in under-15 category. The event was held from April 2 to 7 in Raipur.

Satwika will be participating in the Asian Games which will be held at Uzbekistan from the June 19 to 29. Hence, SRR Chess Parents Charitable Trust offered her Rs 10,000 cash prize. Krishna District Chess Association secretary D Srihari expressed the hope that she would be successful at the Asian School Games and will make Krishna district proud. They wished Satwika to perform well at the Asian games.
