Cheques worth 64.57 cr distributed to SHGs: Kodali Venkateswara Rao (Nani)
Vijayawada: Civil Supplies Minister Kodali Venkateswara Rao (Nani) inaugurated Loan Mela for the Self-Help Groups in Gudivada on Saturday. He distributed cheques worth Rs 64.57 crore to the groups on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister said the YSRCP government was giving top priority to implementation of Navaratnalu and would empower womenfolk by sanctioning loans and rendering financial assistance.
He distributed cheques worth Rs 49.57 crore to the self-help groups belonging to the mandals in Gudivada Assembly constituency, Rs 15 crore to the self-help groups in Gudivada town and Rs 6.70 crore under Srinidhi. He assured the women that the government would repay the loans of the Self-Help Groups in four phases. Revenue and municipal officials attended the event.
