Byreddy returns to TDP hold
Amaravati: Many leaders from Kurnool, including Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy joined TDP on Wednesday, a day after the party chief N Chandrababu Naidu visited the district.
Former MLA and Congress senior leader Rajasekhar Reddy, Nandikotkur YSRCP sitting MLA I Isaiah along with their cadres joined the TDP at Chandrababu Naidu's house at Undavalli. Both the leaders said that they would work hard for the Victory of TDP in the district.
In another development, YSRCP leaders from Visakhapatnam joined the party. They include Pragada Nageswara Rao, Yalamanchili contestant of 2014 general from YSRCP, B Prasad, the current in-charge of the party for the constituency, apart from several other leaders.
Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy stated that the Chandrababu Naidu was the only option for saving the AP from crisis. Addressing the media on the occasion, he said that he was interested in contesting from Srisailam Assembly seat if party gave him a chance. He also said that he would support the party even if the party does not give the ticket.
At present, the TDP gave Srisailam ticket to Budda Rajasekhar Reddy, who is taking many turns after announcement of his name officially by party. He said that under the prevailing political situation in the state, AP will need a visionary and experienced leader like Chandrababu Naidu. Another term of five years should be given to Naidu as only he could put the state on track of development and complete the unfinished task of completing developmental projects, he said.
Rajasekhar Reddy said that YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy was thinking that he CM post was his right just because he was the son of former CM YS Rajasekhara Reddy, but the people would rather prefer an efficient and capable leader like Naidu.
