BSNL launches 4G services in AP Circle A P Rao

Vijayawada: The public sector undertaking Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) launched its 4G services in the market here on Tuesday. Addressing the media, Chief General Manager of Andhra Pradesh Circle A P Rao said that the 4G services are being launched in the State and the customer base would substantially increase with the new services.

Expressing satisfaction over the BSNL having 3.33 lakh new mobile customers of BSNL in the current year as on July 29, he said that the data traffic per day in the network is 122.6 TB. The AP Circle is spending Rs 200 crore for modernisation and expansion of mobile services in the current financial year, he said.

The Chief General Manager said in addition to the existing 350 4G towers in the circle, 150 more 4G towers would be added in Vijayawada city alone. He said that 17,171 new broad band connections have been given in the circle as on July 29 this year.

He announced that Amazon Prime partnered with BSNL to offer one year membership worth Rs 999 on selected BSNL post-paid mobiles.
