AP Government appoints retired IAS officer Subhash Chandra Garg as CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's advisor

The Andhra Pradesh government headed by chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has appointed retired IAS officer Subhash Chandra Garg as adviser (financial resources mobilizer) to Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Orders were issued that he was appointed for fund-raising purpose. Subhash Chandra Garg has been given Cabinet status and will reportedly continue for two years.

On the other hand, Kartikeya Mishra, the director of the state's health and family welfare department, has been appointed as special secretary (financial resources mobilization). He is said to be hold responsibility as Managing director of AP financial company.

Subhash Chandra Garg is a 1983 Rajasthan cadre IAS officer who served as the Union Finance Secretary. Previously, he also worked as Economic Affairs Secretary and World Bank Executive Director. He will now serve as a consultant for AP government for two years. It is reported that several advisors have been appointed in the past to facilitate the administration of Jagan Mohan Reddy government.
