AP cabinet meets at secretariat, approve Vote-on-account budget

Andhra Pradesh Cabinet meeting held at secretariat with finance minister Rajendranath Reddy and the officials being attended. The cabinet has approve the Vote-on-account budget to be tabled in the house at 11.03 am.

The interim budget to be introduced by the AP government today will be presented by Finance Minister Rajendranath Reddy. The budget is estimated to be around 3 lakh crores and is referred to as the Vote-on-account budget.

It has been prepared after a week-long practice session with officials from the Finance Ministry. Despite presenting the full budget, the Assembly will only seek approval for three or four months' requirements.

The Assembly sessions have begun a while ago and the government will introduce the budget.
