AP Budget 2020 sessions: Assembly BAC meeting begins
The government of Andhra Pradesh headed by chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is all set to introduce the second budget (2020–21). The meeting began with the governor's speech via a video conference at 10 am. Meanwhile, the BAC meeting led by Speaker Tammineni Sitaram has begun to formulate the agenda of the House. The government is likely to introduce a budget of Rs. 1.95 lakh crore for this year. This time, the government seems to be giving priority to welfare schemes and Navratnalu. The budget seems to have been designed to combine development and welfare.
As part of this, the State Cabinet met at the Secretariat and approved governor Biswabhushan Harichandan's speech and state budget of 2020-2021. The Cabinet has approved the supplementary budget for 2019-20. The Cabinet has given the green signal to introduce a bill for the Andhra Pradesh State Aquaculture Development Authority Act - 2020.
Buggana Rajendranath Reddy and Subhash Chandra Bose will introduce the budget in the Assembly and Council respectively. On the other hand, the council BAC meeting held by chairman MD Ahmed has ended a short while ago.
