Andhra Pradesh: Livestock health cards from May 30
Vijayawada: The State government will distribute Animal Health cards to the livestock owners in the State to maintain the record of livestock and extend services to farmers.
Civil Supplies Minister Kodali Nani said the government was implementing the YSR Livestock Losses Compensation scheme for the convenience of farmers and Animal Health cards will be useful to get the compensation from the government.
The Animal Health cards distribution to the livestock owners/farmers will begin on May 30 at the Rythu Bharosa centres. Kodali Venkateswara Rao briefing the Animal Husbandry Department officials in Gudivada on Saturday said the Animal Health card consists of details of the name of the farmer/livestock owner, Aadhaar card number, address, phone number etc and the details of the cows, buffaloes, sheep and goat, which are owned by the farmer.
Nani said Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had introduced the YSR Livestock Losses Compensation scheme to help the farmers to get compensation in case of death of livestock.
