Nelapadu (Amaravati): Andhra Pradesh High Court on Thursday warned the violators of the lockdown cases would be filed against them whoever they are.

Hearing a batch of writ petitions filed against the people's representatives who violated the lockdown conditions, the High Court said that the Centre and the state governments were implementing the lockdown as part of the disaster management.

However, the court pointed out that the petitioners should have approached the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) first before moving the High Court.

"Disaster Response Force is the proper forum for taking up the case and the court would not take up the hearing since the petitioners did not approach the proper forum first," it was stated.

The writ petitions were filed by advocate Para Kishore, Vanga Venaktrami Reddy and advocate Ponaka Janardhana Reddy and others against a minister, seven MLAs, Opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu, Nara Lokesh, who allegedly violated the lockdown conditions.

The petitioners were directed to lodge complaint with the SDRF against the people's representatives to file cases against them.
