Andhra Pradesh has Bagged 14 National Panchayat awards for 2019

The state of Andhra Pradesh has received 14 National Panchayat Awards in various categories for the year 2019. Officers of the respective departments received the awards from Union Panchayati Raj Minister Narendra Singh Tomar.

The Child-Friendly Panchayat Award is given to Rajuvari Chintalapalem village in Nellore district while the Gram Panchayat Vikas Yojana Award was presented to Karakambadi in Chittoor district of AP. Nanaji Dev Mukh National Honor Village Award was won by srikurmam village in Srikakulam District.

"Due to the implementation of new Panchayat system in the state helped to bag the awards for the state in the Panchayat department," an official said.

Earlier, the government of Andhra Pradesh has won the awards in the tourism field for Visakhapatnam tourism.
