Andhra Pradesh Cabinet to meet today to make crucial decisions on new schemes
Andhra Pradesh cabinet meeting will be held at the Secretariat on Wednesday. Chaired by Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, the cabinet meeting aims to discuss the issues of bringing few more election promises into effect. The Cabinet is expected to finalize the guidelines for Jagan Mohan Reddy's ambitious scheme 'Jagannana Amma Odi' which will come into effect from January 26th. The Cabinet also approves the pilot project to provide additional nutrition to 1,642 Gram Panchayats in 77 tribal areas suffering from severe Anaemia and malnutrition in women and children.
The pilot project will provide nutritional support to over 66,000 pregnant women and 3.18 lakh children. The Cabinet would decide to increase the financial assistance for Haj pilgrims and Jerusalem pilgrims of Rs 60,000 for those with an annual income of Rs 3 lakh and Rs. 30000 for those who have a yearly income of above 3 lakh.
It is reported that the Cabinet is likely to discuss with the Cabinet Ministers to provide four per cent interest loan services to existing crushers through APSFC to promote robot sand. The amendments to the AP Advocates' Welfare Fund Act, as well as draft bills relating to amendments to the Deity Law, are likely to be approved in the Cabinet.
