Andhra Pradesh assembly sessions to begin from June 16, budget on June 18
Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Legislative Council Meetings are scheduled to start from the 16th of this month to pass the budget. The assembly sessions, which would begin at 10am on the 16th is expected to introduce a full-fledged budget. It is likely that chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will take a formal decision on this matter in a Cabinet meeting to be held on June 11.
The proceedings would begin with Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan's address to the two houses on June 16th followed by BAC meeting to finalise the agenda of the meetings. Later the budget will be introduced in the Assembly on 18th by Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy.
In the wake of Corona, the assembly session, which has to be held for 14 days are likely to be shortened for few days. As the Vote on Account budget is set to end this month and due to the introduction of Environmental Protection Bill, the government has said to be decided to hold assembly and council meetings.
On the other hand, the holding of assembly session has got importance amid Rajya Sabha elections to be held on June 19.
