Andhra govt to begin trial of door delivery of quality rice on Monday

The Andhra Pradesh government headed by chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, which is bringing revolutionary reforms in the public distribution system is all set to launch door delivery system of quality rice on September 1. In the meanwhile, the government is contemplating to start project on Monday i.e June 8 as a trial run. It is known fact that chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has promised the people to provide quality rice at the door steps in the election manifesto and now is heading to implement it.

As part of the implementation of the promise, the Department of Civil Aviation has been set up special mobile units available for door delivery of rice to beneficiaries under the direction of Chief Minister YS Jagan. "Some of the units already under construction will begin on the 8th of this month as part of trial run," External Affairs Secretary Kona Shashidhar said.

It is revealed that if the beneficiaries are satisfied, tenders will be called for the availability of 13,370 mobile units across the state. The quality rice door delivery system is already being implemented in Srikakulam district.

Benefits from Mobile Unit

It includes an electronic weighing machine.

It provides Door delivery of quality rice at home through mobile units.

The rice bag seal will be opened before the beneficiaries at door steps.

Specially made bags will be distributed to beneficiaries before delivery of rice.
