Amareswara Brahmotsavams begin in Amaravathi
Guntur: Amareswara Swamy Brahmotsavams began ahead of Maha Sivaratri at Amareswara Swamy temple in Amaravathi, on Tuesday. Bala Chamundika Sametha Amareswara Swamy was decorated as bridegroom and specia pujas were performed. The Brahmotsavams will continue till February 24. On the occasion of Sivaratri on February 21, rudrabhishekams and laksha bilwarchana will be performed to Lord Amareswara Swamy.
A large number of devotees are expected to visit the temple seeking blessings of the deity because Amaravathi is one of the pancharamas. Devasthanam authorities made elaborate arrangements for the convenience of devotees who will visit the temple. Temple premises was decorated colourfully and separate queue lines were arranged for men and women at the temple.
