AKNU students make campus free from plastic waste

Rajamahendravaram: Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU) Registrar Prof S Teki inaugurated a flag running programme as part of jogging in the campus premises here on Thursday.

This programme was aimed to clear the plastic wastage through jagging held under the aegis of NSS unit of AKNU. Later, AKNU Registrar Prof S Teki said NSS was a right forum to the students to inculcate the habit of serving society and all the students should join in NSS without fail.

Service to society is also important along with studies, which helps many people in society, he added. The University is encouraging NSS system in all its affiliated colleges in twin Godavari districts and NSS bagged many awards in recognition to its service.

The University is having as many as 290 NSS units in all its colleges, he averred. NSS coordinator Dr BK Jiya Rani, NSS prgramme officers V Malli Priya, VSN Prasad Dr P Venkateswarlu and others were present.
