ACB court extends Atchannaidu's remand till July 10 in ESI Scam case

The Anti-Corruption Department (ACB) investigation into the ESI scam in Andhra Pradesh has ended on Saturday. ACB officials at the GGH questioned Telugu Desam Party MLA and former minister Atchannaidu. The ACB has released the letter, which Atchannaidu has ordered contract for telehealth services. The ACB has questioned Atchannaidu as to the motive behind the use of the term 'My Order' in the letter.

The Authorities have inquired about his relationship with a telehealth services contractor. He was quizzed about paying crores of rupees to a single company. ACB officials also inquired about phone calls to the call center.

Authorities found that they had paid double rates in the name of ECG. The ACB doubts that all this was done on a purpose to loot funds. However, on the other hand, the court rejected the bail plea of eight persons including Atchannaidu and extended the remand till July 10.
