ACB court posts verdict on Naidu's bail and custody petition to Monday
The bail and custody petitions of Chandrababu Naidu were heard in the ACB court. Arguments were presented by both the prosecution, represented by Additional Advocate General Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy on behalf of the CID, and the defense, represented by senior Supreme Court lawyer Dubey on behalf of Chandrababu.
After hearing the arguments from both sides, the judge has reserved the judgment and said that it will announce its verdict on Monday. Additionally, the ACB court is scheduled to hear the PT (Production of the Accused) warrants on Monday. This suggests that further proceedings related to the case will take place on that day.
During the hearing on the custody petition, Ponnavolu Sudhakar has requested that Chandrababu be taken into custody in order to gather his bank account details. Ponnavolu has emphasised the need to inquire into Chandrababu's role and the alleged distribution of money to others.
Chandrababu's lawyer Pramod Kumar Dubey objected to the AAG's arguments to give him custody. He explained to the court that he had already been taken into custody for two days and that Chandrababu had cooperated in the investigation. Advocate Dubey argued that the case diary has not been submitted so far despite the custody being over. However, the court posted the verdict to Monday.
