320 people avail HPCL-Visakh Refinery's medical camp
Visakhapatnam: As part of the corporate social responsibility and Swatch Bharat initiative, HPCL, Visakh Refinery has provided financial support to Sri Gurudeva Charitable Trust, Mangalapalem for conducting half a dozen medical camps in Visakhapatnam.
With a financial limit Rs 15 lakh, the initiative aims at identifying and distributing artificial limbs to the needy who are handicapped. In connection with this, Chief General Manager (Maintenance), HPCL, Visakh Refinery P Veerabhadra Rao inaugurated the first medical camp at GVMC High School Malkapuram.
Addressing the gathering, Veerabhadra Rao appreciated the initiative taken by managing trustee of the trust R. Jagadeesh and rendering service to poor. Close to 320 persons were identified for medical camp and the trust members took measurements of patients for getting the customised artificial limbs done.
Director of Palsy Clinics Ramakrishna and Jagadeesh lauded the efforts made by the HPCL for their generous gesture in extending support to the needy patients.
