278 crore to be paid to 3.53 lakh eligible farmers: Collector I Samuel Anand Kumar

Guntur: The district administration made elaborate arrangements for launching of Rythu Bharosa scheme in the district on Tuesday.

Minister for Agriculture Marketing Mopidevi Venkata Ramana Rao and Minister for Home Affairs Mekathoti Sucharita will launch the scheme at Tenali Agriculture Market Committee.

Addressing media at Zilla Parishad Conference Hall here on Monday, Collector I Samuel Anand Kumar said Rs 278 crore will be paid to 3,53,825 eligible farmers under the scheme. He said the farmers, who are cultivating forest lands will be paid Rs 13,500 under the scheme.

He said the farmers whose pattadar pass books were not linked with Aadhaar or whose data was not registered in Prajasadhikara Survey will get later.

If any eligible farmers did not get benefit on Tuesday, they may approach the officials and submit necessary documents in this regard, he said.

Joint Collector Dinesh Kumar, Rural SP Ch Vijaya Rao and Joint Director of Agriculture M Vijaya Bharati participated in the meeting.
